Louris Martin Lee-Sing

Bio

Louris is a full time Caribbean Creative defying the odds and building an exciting and successful creative career. She began her career in 1995 as an Actor Facilitator and has studied Outreach and Educational Theatre techniques locally and internationally.

She is committed to lifelong learning on both an academic and experiential level. Since 2022 she’s been the Programme Manager of the Prime Minister’s Best Village Trophy Competition. She is happy to employ her arts administration skills and determination to serve her country in this role.

Louris is an active Stand-Up Comedian with the group Laugh on the Ave since 2019, where she gives the gift of laughter to her audiences. She performs as her alter-ego ‘Lyrix’, a comedian and social activist through arts. Louris writes and performs through the lens of a committed Caribbean Feminist.

Through her registered Not-for-Profit company, Brown Cotton Outreach founded in 2003, Louris produces Film and Theatre Productions. Trinidad and Tobago Television recently purchased the rights to air her film ‘Sally’s Way, on Boxing Day 2023. She also produced and directed the Carnival Theatre Film ‘Playing Mas’ with Shakespeare’ for the 2021 Toronto Digital Fringe Festival. Brown Cotton most recently provided Administration Services for the 6th Place Mini Band Dolly Mas: Coming of Age in Carnival in collaboration with Designer and Bandleader Amanda McIntyre for Carnival 2024.

Louris has over 25 years of radio, theatre and film production and performance experience and has been involved in several commercials, plays and movies in various roles. She looks forward to a future full of creative satisfaction and interesting collaborations.
