StonedwithCupid (real name Akeem Chandler-Prescod) is a multi- award-winning spoken word artist, photographer, songwriter, and creative director from Barbados. His work is an experimental blend of Hip-Hop, Soul, Storytelling, and Theatre, woven together in a neatly stitched poetic product.

This product has earned him the title of Barbados’ first Poetry SlamChampion as well 1 Gold & 4 Silver Medals at the National Independence Festival for Creative Arts & the Prime Minister’s Award For Best Original Entry, the 50th Anniversary of NIFCA Award & the Earl Warner Trophy for Excellence in Theatre. His most recent accomplishments include winning the Frank Collymore Literary Endowment Spoken Word Award & Gine On People’s Choice Awards “Poet of The Year”. He has travelled to South Africa where he did a two-week performance tour in Bloemfontein, at Vrystaat Kunstefees Festival and is no stranger to notable national events.

In the digital realm, he has been featured by ABC news Australia as as a podcast produced by BBC Radio.
